Dino Shivam
In Te Maunga we have been making dioramas. Titanoboa used to be the biggest snake to ever live. The reason and dinosaurs died out is because of a volcano.

Collage Art Shivam
In Te Maunga we have been doing collage art. I learnt collage is when you take things from magazines and put it together in small pieces and make a picture. We did a collage of maunga because Mrs Pou read us the story of the Battle of The Mountains.

Viruses Shivam
In Te Maunga we have been learning about viruses. I learned that a virus is a living thing and that it is so small that you can’t see it. I made a flow diagram for steps of a virus.

Water cycle Shivam
In Te Maunga we learnt about the water cycle. In the water cycle I learnt that the sun heats up on lakes, seas and oceans. Then an invisible gas called water vapour rises up. I learnt that in the clouds there are lots of little droplets that combine and then make a big droplet and we call it rain. Then oceans, lakes and seas collect the water. Then the water cycle goes on again and again and never stops. So we made some art based on the water cycle. We used colouring pencils to colour in. Here’s my one:

koru patterns Shivam
We did koro and kowhaiwhai patterns. A fern means caring. My koro art is about my dad protecting my family.
